Himakånå has become the most photographed viewpoint on Haugalandet, and you can tell on the trail. Here are some tips if you want to go early and avoid the queue.
Start before six o’clock
The car park at Tveitaskogen holds twelve cars. If you arrive after seven on a Saturday in July, you’ll end up parking along the road. The hike takes an hour and a half each way at a relaxed pace.
- Bring a headlamp if you are going before sunrise.
- The path is slippery in the rain, especially the last hundred meters.
- There is no safety barrier at the top, so hold children by the hand.
